October snowfalls bring November free for alls

If seeing is believing, then read on to see how much snow hit over the weekend, and you’ll soon be believing.

The snow dances are working! A solid handful of resorts notched solid snowfalls over the weekend, as a late October storm cycle moved through. That means the base will soon start accumulating and, before long the lifts will start spinning.

We've all heard the saying April showers bring May flowers. But for skiers and snowboarders, October snowfall brings November free for alls! Here’s your SnowSeekers webcam round up.

Marmot Basin, Jasper AB

You been yet? Why Marmot? Coming into 2022/23, Marmot’s climbing the big leagues in the ranks of gnarly terrain in an epic space. Their new terrain off Marmot 2 is some steep and powder-filled bonanza!

View off the Paradise chair, Monday Oct 24.

This view (above) off the top of Paradise this morning is a sure sign of things to come. Keep tuned to Marmot's latest conditions and start your engines.

Whistler Blackcomb, Whistler BC

You been yet? Is this your Whistler year? Big Mountain, huge terrain options between Whistler and Blackcomb. You ever read the story on how Blackcomb scored its name

If we could keep looking down the lift line in that lead shot (in the link above), we’d see the Roundhouse, which looks like this today:

The roundhouse at Blackcomb has a nice white blanket forming.

Hudson Bay Mountain Resort, Smithers BC

You been yet? The place rocks, we’ve written about it for years. Interesting thing about Smithers, is how the ski hill connects to town.

Looking at the ticket office from the base day lodge at HBMR.

Via a wicked ski out, you can literally ski from après on the deck to après in town at any of the three craft establishments and 67 dining options around town. That, and its amazing northern BC pow! #SkiNorthBC #PlaygroundoftheNorth

SilverStar Mountain Resort, Vernon BC

You’ll likely never find a more well engineered place dedicated to sliding on snow. We keep saying “move into the snow globe,” because it's true:

The hill is just getting pounded, with snow over the weekend, and another 5 - 10cm forecast for Monday and more through the week!

Castle Mountain Resort, Pincher Creek AB

KAPOW! Check this snow cam down in Alberta's southern corner of the Rockies, at Castle Mountain.

All about that base at Castle.

Got snow pics to share?  Share ‘em #snowseekers and lets get this party fired up, here comes the season! #morecowbell
