Top BC ski guide joins the rush
With Johnny Mellis as the lead guide at Gold Rush, ROAM has landed a big fish. Mellis had spent 34 years with CMH and the last 29 as the GM at Cariboo Lodge.
At first, they brought him in as a consultant, but "when he saw the terrain and lodge, he packed his bags!" as Gold Rush quotes.
His Association of Canadian Mountain Guides (ACMG) certified pro team, certainly validates the operation's safety commitment.

Their small groups and unique multi-sport offerings really set them apart, as they include 1-2 days of heli-skiing, plus dog sledding, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, ice fishing, northern lights viewing and hot springs.
New Mountain Lodge featuring Nootka Sauna
ROAM has opened up Moose Hill Lodge, perched on 6.5 acres overlooking BC's largest freshwater lake, with European-designed loft cabins to maximize views. Hot tub, Nootka Sauna and the usual delicious food and cellar are standard fare.
