Openings at Lake Louise, Norquay, Nakiska bring out local celebs
Clanging poles, cheers, hollers and adrenaline filled the loading areas as opening weekend in the Alberta Rockies commenced at 9:00 AM on November 3rd, 2023, at both Lake Louise and Norquay, respectively. And with that, the 2023-24 ski season is opened!
Opening days draw out the most dedicated shredders and local characters and it’s always a treat to see who’s there and who’s first chair. Two snow bikers grabbed headlines over opening day weekend by showing up at 3 AM for first chair at Lake Louise—now that's dedication!
