With new snowfall, resorts prepping for a sender weekend ahead

above: Sunshine Village, Monday Dec 8

We're waking up to snow and more snow by the day. Powder King, Sunshine Village and several others got the first wave this past weekend, with some major dumps, and Alberta is bracing for more early this week. This bodes well for the week of skiing ahead, as more resorts open and build up their terrain offerings.

Here's what should be on your snow radar.

Powder King, 30cm/24h

Hit with 30cm overnight and 45cm in 48h! And here's our PK pro tip: this #skinorthbc gem is closed Mon-Wed so that fresh P-O-W will just be sitting there when the lifts reopen on Thursday, Dec 11.

Sunshine Village, 19cm/24h

Sunshine is having a good season so far, thanks to its high elevation and geographic location on the BC border. Snow cycles keep finding their way there.

Fernie Alpine Resort, 15cm/24h

Currie Bowl looking good right now:

Manning Park

Closer to Vancouver, also getting snow, with opening set for Saturday, Dec 13.

Kimberley Mountain Resort

Things are looking good for opening this weekend, starting Friday Dec 12.
