A pacific low-pressure system is working its way across the BC south coast dumping snow mostly on the southern resorts in BC and Alberta! Its going to be followed by a high-pressure system that will bring in some chilly weather so bundle up next week! Fernie

Fernie Alpine Resort is buried under 21 cm of fresh snow. Combine that with the last 7 days and that’s 53 cm. Ten bucks says there will be sweet stashes still there for the weekend.

SilverStar near Vernon, piled it on in the last few days. They saw 20 cm of new snow in the last 24 hours and 47 cm in the last week. The summit always gets more than the report. I bet it is snow ghost heaven.

Kimberley got pummelled by the low-pressure system that cruised through overnight. They are showing 34 cm of fresh snow! Use the straps on your ski poles today – you’ll never find them after the yard sale in that much pow.

Whistler Blackcomb

Whistler Blackcomb has six webcams and considering how big the resort is, the weather changes with almost every camera. But today its sunshine across the resort. Whistler saw 20 cm of snow blanket the slopes in the last 48 hours.

Over at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort, the snow has been fabulous. Overnight a glorious 22 cm of fluff fell. The skies have cleared and its amazing. You can bet everyone is heading to Feuz Bowl and Super Bowl for fantastic first tracks.
