GAME ON! Winter isn’t over until the Jets bring home the cup!

Going into game seven is nerve-wracking. There is soooo much on the line. Arenas, bars, basements and outdoor parks in Canada were a flurry of white jersey-clad fans anxiously cheering on the Winnipeg Jets. Within 11 minutes of the first puck-drop, the fans were whipped into a blizzard. Two swift goals by the Jets had the Predators switching out goalies. But that didn’t change their luck. In the end, the Jets kept flying, ending the game with a score of 5 to 1. The Jets are soaring into Round Three!

How passionate are Winnipeg Jets fans? Check these guys out. The whiteout street party has been off the charts.

How did Canadians react to seeing the team that has only been in Winnipeg since 2011 react? Let's take a look.

Remember, this is the second time Winnipeg has had a Jets team in the NHL. The first team was sold and relocated in 1996 sending Jets fans into a slump. For 15 years, the city waited. In 2011 when the newly acquired team moved from Atlanta to the Bell MTS Place, seasons tickets sold out in minutes and the season ticket wait list was shut down after 8,000 people signed on in less than two hours.

By-the-way it’s been almost 25 years since a Canadian team brought home the Stanley Cup – named after Lord Stanley – the Governor General of CANADA in 1893.

The best part about Canada is how we quickly adopt the team moving forward in the playoffs as our own. Are you from Winnipeg? It doesn’t matter. Be part of the #whiteout. Get out your Jet’s jerseys or just a white T-shirt and put the hockey sticks next to the tv. We are all Jets fans now.
