Winter EXPLODES on Canadian Rockies, BC interior in sudden return

Sunday fun-day and powder Monday made their snowy appearances across the Rockies and into BC this weekend and the stoke was high! Winter isn’t done with us yet, and it’s making a comeback with February delivering the snow we’ve all been dreaming of.

Mother Nature and Ullr have seen our snow dances and heard our cries for snow, so what are you waiting for? Get out there!

Kicking Horse gets a half-metre

There are few better feelings than disappearing into a cloud of pow as your float down the mountain. Conditions at Kicking Horse have been epic with 54cm in the last 48 hours, and with more to come, this is the place to be!

Castle stacks up

“The faucet has been left OPEN and it's been dumping out here” and we couldn’t be more stoked! With 49cm in the last 48hours as of Monday, if you weren’t at Castle enjoying pow laps, where were you?

PRO TIP: as of Monday, Feb 27 there were still cat ski spots open on the Powder Stagecoach, for what are shaping up to be the best days of the season. Info in this post.

Troll opening day 2.0

After a mid-season pause, this #SkiNorthBC destination reopened with 47cm in the last 48 hours!

Opening Day 2.0 got the Troll family back together again doing what they love most. Troll will be open 7 days a week until the end, including their 10th annual Mt Everest Challenge on March 3rd where participants complete 20 runs, or the equivalent height of climbing Mount Everest.

Get details about upcoming Troll events and meet some of the Troll family in this story.

Marmot Magic

It’ll be a magical day for those in the Rockies this week considering all the big boys including Marmot Basin in Jasper scored the winter return.

Have you skied Marmot's new chair yet? Similar to Sun Peaks, it has a carpet to help get you on the chair and up the mountain. Find out why it's got us so stoked in this story.

What will March look like? Only time will tell, but If the last few days are a sign of what's to come, we say bring it on. We’re keeping up our snow dances, planning those spring skiing road trips, and getting in everyday sliding on snow that we can and hope you are too.
