Ice fishing is all about having the right tools, the right lines and staying comfortable so if its your first time out, consider a local guide to point you in the right direction with the right tools. Trebled Life Fishing Guides from Lake Newell can help you out. Expect to settle in for a few hours. It’s not that it takes that long to catch a fish, rather it’s a great time to slow down and enjoy the experience – and catch fish!

Afternoon – Head back to Brooks for a Pint

After you have finished your day of playing “catch-and-release” head back to Brooks to play “catch-and-keep” at the new craft brewery in Brooks. You’ll love the warm and family friendly atmosphere at Piston Broke Brewery. Pull up a stool at the bar, order a pint of the X-Cross Red Ale and brag about your catch, both on the line and in your hand.
