Getting there:

Kicking Horse Resort is located just off the Trans Canada Highway, 14 kilometres above Golden, British Columbia (BC) in the Dogtooth Range of the Purcell Mountains. The resort is a 1.5 hour drive west from Banff, Alberta (AB) 2.5 hour drive west of Calgary, AB, a 6 hour drive from Edmonton, AB, a 9 hour drive from Vancouver, BC and a 7 hour drive from Spokane, Washington. The nearest airport is in Calgary, AB.

The Mountain:

Vertical Drop - 1,260 metres (4,133 feet), Elevation: Top of Kicking Horse - 2,450 metres (8,033 feet), Mid-Mountain - 1,722 metres (5,646 feet), Bottom of the lowest chair: 1,190 metres (3,900 feet)

Skiable acreage - 2,750, Inbound chutes - 70, Number of lifts - 5, Number of runs - 106 (Beginner: 20%, Intermediate: 20%, Advanced: 45%, Expert: 15%)
