Fountain Tire Presents: The Total Snowfall Contest brought to you by SnowSeekers

SnowSeekers Snowfall Contest

Compete the contest form below to enter to win TWO SEASON PASSES for the 2012/13 season to ANY resort that we cover on SnowSeekers.ca, as well as FOUR GOODYEAR TIRES (installed), courtesy of Fountain Tire.

SnowSeekers is confident in proclaiming North America’s Northwest (British Columbia, Alberta, Montana, Idaho, and Washington) as the powder capital of the planet. To put our theory to the test we're going to have a Total Snowfall Count that will be running all season long—until May 23, 2012, when Sunshine Village closes for the season. (Top right of your screen)

Just fill out the form below and the person with the closest guess to the actual number will win TWO SEASON PASSES to any resort listed in the navigation on our site. If multiple people are within the same number from the correct total, we will perform a random draw from the correct guessers—on video—to declare our winner.

The destinations we will be aggregating snowfall for are

Mount NorquaySunshine Village Ski & Snowboard ResortLake Louise Ski Area
Castle MountainEdmonton's Snow Valley Ski ClubMarmot Basin
Nakiska ResortBig WhiteFairmont Family Ski Area
Fernie Alpine ResortSmithers' Hudson Bay Mountain ResortKicking Horse Mountain Resort
Kimberley Alpine ResortMount Washington Alpine ResortPanorama Mountain Village

Silver Star Mountain ResortSun Peaks Ski ResortWhistler Blackcomb
Mount Baker Ski AreaWhitefish Mountain ResortSchweitzer Mountain Resort

That's the total snowfall, COMBINED, from the 24 resorts listed above. Here are some hints to get you started: Mount Washington received 1950 cm last season, Fernie received 1130 cm, and Marmot Basin received 408 cm.

The contest is open until January 13, 2012. The winner will be announced on May 24, 2012.

So think hard, plan well, and, as always, THINK SNOW.

IMPORTANT NOTE: if the season is unexpectedly long, and goes past May 23, we will NOT be counting those days for this contest. So when you make your guess, assume that the season ends on May 23, 2012 (inclusive). Good luck and see you on the slopes!

IMPORTANT NOTE 2: Lake Louise Ski Area's snow conditions page tracks Back Bowl snowfall and Mid Mountain snowfall. For the purposes of this contest, and our snow conditions page, we'll be tracking the Back Bowl snowfall count.

Thanks for the great folks at http://www.contestcanada.net for helping spread the word!
