Start the lifts! Ski season is underway!


Don't you just tingle when you hear about a snowstorm blasting through the mountains? The webcam pages at the ski resorts must go crazy with us all looking to see how deep the measuring stick is buried. Take a look at these results from the webcams over the past month. The snow has arrived and several ski resorts are getting their chairs spinning for some of the earliest opening days in their histories. It's shaping up to be the “La Nina” winter we all are waiting for, get stoked and check out the snow below!

Whistler Blackcomb Mountain Resort is always the first one to warn us of weather coming from the west.

Take a look at the coverage that happened over the past month. The valleys are filling in and the snow will drift nicely in the glades.

That's not all. Another blizzard will land on Saturday, November 11th and Whistler is predicting an accumulation of over 280cm in just 9 days.

Kicking Horse Mountain Resort

The drifts are piling up just the way we like 'em. Get this! The “Horse” has received 110 cms in the last week! This week they'll see more white fluff fall. Check out all that fluffy stuff in Kicking Horse's video above that has received almost 150,000 views.


Fernie is known for huge dumps and they are enjoying an early season surprise. They have 81 cms already for the season, and November has only begun.

Red Mountain Resort tucked into the peaks near Rossland, B.C., isn't complaining. With a screenshot like that, we're all ready for that official opening day of Dec. 9. Can we wait that long?
