Not afraid to stretch musical boundaries, delve into multiple genres, and experiment with style - from hard rock riffing, to dirty blues guitar solos, to pop vocal harmonies - Louder Than Love's compositional prowess and killer musicianship puts them on rock's cutting edge.
Based out of Vancouver, the band was formed in 2009 by lead-singer, guitarist, and song-writer, Paul Lambert, with long time friends Tony Lambert (bass), Dan Okano (keys), Nate Parsons (rhythm guitar), and Tyler Thompson (drums). Their debut album, Dark Days, fully written and produced by Lambert, was recorded late last year at The Warehouse Studios and has been compared to Porcupine Tree, The Black Keys, and Pink Floyd. They are currently finishing up their follow up EP entitled "Coming Around" with producer Jeff Dawson (State of Shock, Daniel Powter, NAS, Hey Ocean etc..).
In just a short time, they have amassed a large following of devoted fans and made a name for themselves with great reviews, cross-country radio play, a Western Canadian Tour and were selected as Top 20 Finalists in the 99.3 Fox Seeds 2010 competition.
Their modern, melodic vocal hooks and heavy, layered riffs put a unique twist on the band's progressive rock roots. Influenced by the epic song-writing of bands like Stone Temple Pilots and Led Zeppelin who, like Louder Than Love, had no rules and no formula, the result is a wholly fresh, intricate album that will excite you musically and have you singing along.
