It all began in the winter of 2006 as a means to fill a void but quickly turned into an obsession of musical camaraderie. Steffyn had just staved off another bought of cancer and was eager to combine his life and musical experiences into song. He decided to contact an old friend, Jay, to help immerse himself back into the music scene. As luck would have it, Jay was not bound to a band and was jamming with long time friend, Adam. Glenn, a co-worker of Steffyn’s, was inserted to round out the quartet. The chemistry was instantaneous. All hailing from different musical backgrounds, from metal to theatre, Bullets Over Beauty bring a wide range of influences to the table.
So much has happened with Bullets Over Beauty over the last couple of years. With four newly recorded songs comes the birth of our latest EP: “Blue Hour Highrise,” produced by Evan Morgan. In May three songs were submitted into the Seeds competition hosted by Vancouver’s 99.3 CFOX radio station; a yearly competition where local unsigned rock acts submit original music. Out of several hundred bands Bullets Over Beauty was announced as a semi-finalist for the second year in a row.
With the band's third EP, Vancouver’s Bullets Over Beauty is poised to take a major chunk out of the music industry
