Where else can you ski by the hour? Known as the local's favourite, this small and friendly resort is located within minutes from downtown Banff and seen from most prts of the town. Mt. Norquay is the closest ski resort to Banff and Canmore and less than an hour from Calgary.
From Calgary, you won't finish your large coffee before reaching the turn off to Mount Norquay. Head west on the TransCanada for 112 km (69mi). Take the second Banff exit, turn right on Mt. Norquay Road. A short drive up the switchbacks and you are there. From Canmore - buy a small coffee - Norquay is only 25 km west. From Banff - skip the coffee it's only 6 km from downtown Banff.
Calgary International Airport is the closest airport for domestic and international travellers. Car rental agencies are within the airport complex. Shuttle companies are available by reservation from the airport to take you to the town of Banff.
