Christmas activities begin this weekend
Dec. 14/10
SUN PEAKS, BC – The holidays are about celebrating the best of the season with friends and family. Shop at the Christmas Market, grab your skates and hit the outdoor ice rink, or relax with a hot drink at a local café.
Sun Peaks is a winter wonderland over the holiday season, making it the perfect setting for a Christmas getaway.
Whether you’re doing some last minute Christmas shopping, or looking for some fresh produce to cook for dinner, stop by the Christmas Market in the Delta Sun Peaks Resort ballroom. Over 40 vendors will be on site selling a variety of handmade gifts, house wares, organic meats, seafood, produce and more.
Join members of the Kamloops Chamber of Musicians and some extraordinary young performers for a wonderful evening of holiday music.
A unique and intimate setting at a private Sun Peaks chalet, relax with wine and tapas and enjoy a music ensemble.
Santa Claus will be hitting the slopes, hosting village sleigh rides, and spinning on the outdoor ice rink before heading off on Christmas Eve to deliver presents to boys and girls around the world. Join him for breakfast before he heads out on the 24th!
Join Olympian Nancy Greene as she spreads holiday cheer throughout the village singing Christmas carols.
Children will kick off the New Years Eve Celebrations with a Glowstick Parade, which will be followed by First Flight…a demonstration of slopestyle acrobatics not to be missed. Following First Flight, adults can participate in the Torchlight Descent on Sundance Mountain, a procession that creates an amazing pyrotechnical illusion. Wrap up the evening with a spectacular fireworks show over the Sun Peaks Village.
