"The Art of Flight"

Renowned producers Brain Farm spent 6 weeks filming "The Art of Flight" at Revelstoke Mountain Resort and Selkirk Tangiers Heli Skiing in winter 2011.   With snowboarding legend Travis Rice leading an entourage of talented riders including John Jackson, Gigi Ruf, Scotty Lago, Jeremy Jones, Mark Landvick, Jake Blauvel and more, the crew toured through deep powder and sought incredible lines throughout the 515,000 acres of terrain. “The Brain Farm crew was completely blown away by our unique terrain and quality of snow” says Dave Pehowich, Operations Manager and Mountain Guide for Selkirk Tangiers.  “The level of riding from the Brain Farm crew enabled them to ride first descents in the STHS tenure.”

Spending a month and a half with this incredible film crew and iconic riders resulted in memories that will last a lifetime for Revelstoke Mountain Resort and Selkirk Tangiers Heli Skiing.  The world tour for “The Art of Flight” is now underway and makes a stop in Revelstoke at the Roxy Theatre in November 2011.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

“Twe12ve”

The crew from Absinthe Films with Pro Riders Nicolas Müller, Romain de Marchi, JP Solberg, Tadashi Fuse and more came to shred it up in January and February 2011 on Revelstoke Mountain Resort’s naturally hopped-up terrain for the feature film, “Twe12ve”.  Revelstoke Mountain Resort is proud to be a North American tour sponsor and excited for the Revelstoke premiere at the Roxy Theatre on October 13th.  Marketing Manager, Kevin Manuel says, “I’m incredibly excited about this film!  After viewing some of the footage from last season, I have no doubt that Twe12ve will showcase everything that RMR has to offer.”  Manuel also points out that a lot of the filming was shot in-bounds and to “keep an eye out for some of your favourite terrain” in the film.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

"Attack of La Niña"

MSP spent two weeks filming at Revelstoke Mountain Resort and Selkirk Tangiers this past winter, producing their latest triumph, "Attack of La Niña".  With the help of incredible snowfall this past winter in RMR’s 515,000 acres of terrain, the film chronicles the deepest North American winter in recent history. Lead Guide, Dave Sproule says, “The Matchstick crew took advantage of Selkirk's prime snow conditions to ride some cool lines that lay amongst the Tangiers’ classics."
