Aspen Glades are a holdover from the days when Revelstoke Mountain Resort was known as Mount Mackenzie and the old Powder Slug Chair didn’t go much higher than this. Named for the stand of trees found here, this run is visually unlike any other place on the mountain.
The Revelstoke Mountain Resort grooming team is one of the best in the business and Wooley Bully is a great example of their finest work.
Tight in some sections, wider in others, these glades will challenge many riders, especially as the snow can get heavier as you descend. For even more glory, you can venture to the right, crossing Kill the Banker and tearing into the Conifers of Gnarnia. Not for the faint of heart.
A North Bowl specialty for those who aren’t really into the hiking scene, from the top of the Stoke chair head to the right and take about 20 steps uphill. Traverse across until you come to the cliff warning line. To the lower left you will find the entry point, a short and tight drop heading left to right. Once into the bowl enjoy the freedom that wide-open space gives you.
Since you just finished riding Sweet Spot, and are on this side of the mountain, you should check out the Powder Monkey Glades.
You’ll be blessed with a super flowy run through some beautiful trees with some great steep sections.
For nicely -spaced trees and a pretty good diversity of terrain, head for Iron Glaiden.
This side of the mountain frequently gets the most sunshine and offer great views of the Columbia River valley, making life worth living.
Probably one of the best runs on the mountain for sheer diversity of terrain, Snow Rodeo is a ton of fun.
