Castle Mountain Resort is located in the pristine wilderness of the Southern Alberta Rockies just off Highway 3, about 2.5 hours drive from Calgary, Alberta also the location of the nearest international airport, and 5.5 hours from Edmonton, Alberta.

Castle is within an easy 1.5 hour drive from both the Carway and Rossville US border crossings. The closest community to Castle is Pincher Creek, about 50 kilometres away.
